Jane Skeeter founded Skeeter Studios in 1970. At that time, her focus was the design and fabrication of artistic stained, leaded and etched glass. Driven by her love of glass and the increasing demand for new and exciting glass products and applications, Jane traveled to Europe in the mid 80’s to investigate the latest glass technology. Her discoveries inspired her to create decorative architectural glass via a process called “kiln-forming.” Thus began a lasting fascination with the product she named UltraGlas®. Since those developmental years, Skeeter has worked tirelessly to evolve the technology, applications and techniques of UltraGlas as well as the reputation of UltraGlas Inc. — while at the same time introducing a diverse international marketplace to the many advantages and opportunities inherent in a glass product that far extends the boundaries of traditional glass applications. Today, UltraGlas Inc., employs a cadre of talented glass artists. It ships custom products to customers and fine institutions all over the world.
